Another panel at the Future Wisconsin Conference dealt with school choice and urban education.
Did you know there are now 118 private schools participating in the Milwaukee School Choice (Voucher) program? And another 36 charter schools! No wonder we need to lift the cap.
If anyone ever asks you about school choice, you just tell them that a Manhattan Institute study found that graduation rates at vouchers schools were twice the graduation rate of MPS at half the cost!
If they are really getting argumentative about it, the next great stat you give them is that 29.4% of MPS teachers send their children to private schools!!!
