The One True Church of Liberalism is alive, but I'd guess the ones at MU must really be hissing like hell over your 'diversity' thingy. Keep it up!

I've heard that a lot of it stems from the campus atmosphere in the late 60s. The culture in higher education was geared heavily towards opposition to the war, and it's rational that the people who were best adapted to this environment went on to teach. Hence, we have an excess of former hippies in academia.

As long as the bias doesn't become so pervasive that conservative students are silenced and all moderate/undecided students are driven left, the problem will correct itself in time.

As your display shows, however, we may have already reached that point. What were the apples for?

Have you ever heard this quip? Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach, consult.

Maybe the reason lack of diversity is actually market driven. The liberals are driven out of the market.
