Matt Drudge and The Political Teen have filed entries on the latest proof that Cindy Sheehan is harnassing her sons tragic death to promote the liberal agenda.

Anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan, whose soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq, is calling for Bush’s “impeachment,” and for Israel to get out of Palestine!

You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you’ll stop the terrorism,” Sheehan declares.

Sheehan, who is asking for a second meeting with President Bush, says defiantly: “My son was killed in 2004. I am not paying my taxes for 2004. You killed my son, George Bush, and I don’t owe you a penny…you give my son back and I’ll pay my taxes. Come after me (for back taxes) and we’ll put this war on trial.”

“And now I’m going to use another ‘I’ word – impeachment – because we cannot have these people pardoned. They need to be tried on war crimes and go to jail.”

It appears her husband cannot stand her manipulation of their son’s sacrifice to further her utter, blind promotion of far left ideology any longer, Dang If I Know has discovered a divorce case was filed by Patrick Sheehan on August 12, 2005. On top of that:

TIME mag reports in new editions on Monday: Sheehan gets support from her surviving son, Andy, in principle, but he recently sent her a long e-mail imploring her, “to come home because you need to support us at home.”

This family has been torn apart by one mother’s decision to become an instrument of the left. She has met with the President once to grieve for the loss of her son who died heroically, why doesn’t she go home to her family and prevent the loss of her husband to divorce and stop neglecting her surviving son instead of losing everything to be a flash-pan, media darling for the left?

    GOOD REPORTING!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. yana says:

Oh, so right you are…. this is quite the trend for the left, isn’t it? Last year, the liberals’ anti-war “victim of the year” was Lisa Lipscomb, who even made it to Fahrenheit 9/11…

    Take a look at:

Sure makes it easier when they discredit themselves so fast, doesn’t it. After her family’s denunciation and her anti-Semitic background, a few more moonbat rants and she’ll be toast. I wonder who’s loving this Michael Moore Circus more, Cindy Sheehan or the mainstream media.

BTW, congrats on a very polished blog!

  4. MUCRmonitor says:

Brandon, have you lost a child in Iraq? Please….cut her a little slack. Even being a liberal, I do have some issues with the media that has latched onto this story. Why don’t you attack them and hold off on the personal attacks? Bringing up a possible divorce without even knowing the reasons behind it seems a bit cheap.

  5. Daniel Chapman says:

I think giving in to this woman’s self-serving pleas for sympathy would be conceding the battle. She’s pretty much made it impossible to say “I’m sorry for your loss… I wish it hadn’t happened, but your politics are wrong.”

Besides… this woman doesn’t deserve to be hidden behind the secondary issue of media coverage. Her entire purpose for her “protest” is to BRING the media coverage. I say attack the source of the problem.

  6. MUCRMonitor/Dave-
From the iHillary blog referenced above:

“… snip… Patrick Sheehan has declined to comment publicly about his wifes efforts.

His family, however, issued a terse e-mailed comment on Thursday.

We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her sons good name and reputation, read the e-mail signed by Caseys aunt Cherie Quartarolo on behalf of his paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Sheehan family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving, the e-mail stated. The rest of the Sheehan family supports the troops, our country and our president, silently, with prayer and respect. “

The sad thing about Ms. Sheehan is that immediately after Bush goes home, the media will leave Texas as well and completely forget about her. She’s being used completely as a tool by the left.

  8. Daniel Chapman says:

I see her as more of a footnote than a tool. She wants this as much as “the left” does, and she’ll still be involved with these groups long after the press goes home. Sometime 5 years from now we’ll see something along the lines of “Cindy Sheehan, who is best remembered for protesting against the Iraq war outside of President Bush’s home for over a month in 2005…”

You know… sort of like Anita Hill. I don’t feel sorry for them after their cause is tossed to history.

BEAUTIFUL article by Jonah Goldberg today…

  10. MUCRmonitor says:

Dan, tell me thats not where you get your news…

  11. Daniel Chapman says:

It’s an “opinion” page, monitor… there’s a reason “news”papers have a separate section called the “opinion” page. They’re two different things.

But to answer your unasked question, yes. I read NRO every day. Best commentary on the web, and Jonah Goldberg is one of my favorite opinion columnists. It’s probably on account of the flies.

  12. Kane says:

The quote from Sheehan about “get Israel out of Palestine” isn’t hers. She didn’t say it. Someone made it up. Maybe Drudge? No one, anywhere, has identified when and where she said it. There is no verification that Sheehan’s current activities have anything at all to do with the divorce. So what exactly is this article about? Unverified allegations and rumors? Great job. Again.

  13. tim says:

Whether or not she is politically motivated to do this, with weird views or not, she lost her son. His name isn’t going to be hurt, he’s dead. She can say what she wants, in fact, if a criminal murdered your son, you’d want justice. She had her son murdered because he fought for Bush’s agenda, she can’t charge the Iraqis, so she’s seeking justice a different way. Anyways, tell me you’d do different if a liberal pres sent your son/daughter to war and they died. Tell me different.

  14. Daniel Chapman says:

As that Jonah Goldberg article pointed out, of COURSE she’s legally allowed to say what she wants. That doesn’t make her right, and it doesn’t make it improper to point out her lunacy. The death of her son could have caused her mind to snap to the point where she starts talking about how the Jews are using their mind control rays to force Karl Rove to allow fetuses to vote (but only if they vote republican, of course). She’s allowed to SAY it, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune from criticism.

She’s WRONG. She’s a liar. She’s using her grief to lend credibility to arguments that would never hold water if it weren’t for the “She lost her son cut her some slack” factor.

Oh yeah… and I’m pretty sure she DID say that quote about “get israel out of palestine.” I’ll work on proving it later if the guys on this blog don’t get there first. I found an interview where a reporter started with “You’ve been quoted as saying…” and she interrupts him to say “I never said that.” “You didn’t? Ok then…” That’s probably where Kane gets his information from. Frankly, I am not going to take her assertion at face value. I’m going to look for the original source of that quote. She’s said plenty of other anti-israel stuff (such as her march 15 letter to nightline) that makes the “out of palestine” quote believable.

  15. Pez says:

But obviously her son believed in Bush’s agenda if he re-enlisted in the army.

  16. The General says:

    Kane-

    Here’s Ms. Sheehan’s exact quote.

“”And the other thing I want him to tell me is ‘just what was the noble cause Casey died for?’ Was it freedom and democracy? Bullshit! He died for oil. He died to make your friends richer. He died to expand American imperialism in the Middle East. We’re not freer here, thanks to your PATRIOT Act. Iraq is not free. You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you’ll stop the terrorism,” she exclaimed.”

  17. MUCRmonitor says:

Wow……couldn’t have said that better myself!

  18. Daniel Chapman says:

You don’t do yourself any credit by associating yourself with comments that even Sheehan and her wacko supporters are distancing themselves from, right monitor?

  19. Kane says:

Here’s the problem General, she never said that. She never said the “and you’ll stop the terrorism” part. It was made up. Go find a full transcript of her speech. Its out there. She did say most of what’s in that quote, but not in the order shown.

  20. Daniel Chapman says:

That’s taken from the webpage of “veterans for peace,” which is one of the groups down there supporting her, I believe. They’re far left, anyway. Why would they make up the quote? I think a reasonable person has to presume the quote is accurate.

  21. The General says:

    Kane-

Here’s Cindy’s latest via Drudge…time to don the tinfoil hats, lay off the wacky tobacky, and pass out the meds…

‘We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now’…

    Good lord.

I can’t blame Bush for not wanting to meet with this woman AGAIN. She’s lost her marbles.

  22. MUCRmonitor says:

I’m not associating myself with her comments, Mr. Lawyer. I believe much of what was said in that quote. Although not so much with the oil thing….I think it has more to do with Bush’s pea sized brain and his believe that he has the biggest balls in the world.

  23. Daniel Chapman says:

That’s what I meant by “associating yourself with those comments,” monitor. You’re claiming to believe the substance of a quote that even Sheehan and her supporters are distancing themselves from. It really makes you look nutty as a fruitcake.

Wow… I’m used to having to explain my ideas twice, but I usually don’t have to define everyday words for people. Try to keep up with the conversation, or I might have to write you off as a troll and stop responding to you at all.

  24. MUCRmonitor says:

Daniel, I don’t care if you respond to me. Do me a favor and stop. Nutty as a fruitcake? hahahahahahahaha…..I think I just pissed my un-American pants. I find it hard to believe that you people never ask why terrorists hate us so much? Could it possibly be because we support a country that has oppressed the Palestinian people for the last 40 years? Are you so ignorant as to think we can possibly erradicate all the terrorists in the world? It is impossible because the more wars (especially when we fight wars based on lies) we wage, the more terrorists we create. Terrorists just don’t attack us for no reason. They are reacting to our actions. Its not the other way around Mr. High and Mighty Lawyer!

  25. MUCRmonitor says:

The General? What is that suppost to imply? Are you a general in the military or just a general idiot? Posting stuff from the Drudge Report? You don’t see me posting stuff from MoveOn.org do ya? You know why? Because very little on both those sites are factual. Can you honestly tell me that quote was taken in context? Nevermind….given your integrity, you probably could. When are you shipping of for the war you love so much?

  26. Daniel Chapman says:

oh well… I had you figured for a young, underread, hothead liberal who actually thought he was making good arguments. Guess you’re just a troll out to get a reaction. I won’t waste any more time refuting you. It’s sort of like swatting a fly with a buick anyway. Hope you learn to relax before you flip out and kill someone someday…

  27. MUCRmonitor says:

Buicks are terrible cars…I hope you don’t strive to be a buick…flys have been known from time to time to total a buick.
