I voted against the cigarette tax, before I voted for it.
Why stop at $1… make it $2
I don’t think taxing cigarettes is a bad idea, lets jack up the price so high people stop smoking altogether.
While you’re at it, jack up the taxes on any form of alcohol so high, they’ll quit drinking too! Pffft!
Since when is it wrong to tax a vice?
WTF is wrong with this country, do we not understand that the government is over taxing an addictive substance. If it is politicly corect for the government to peddle drugs at such a rate of profit why are there laws aginst the sale and trafficing of so called street drugs. The individuals targeted by both the street drug pusher and the government gas station drug dealers are indeed one of the same. So I say stick your unjust tax hike up your immoral ass.
