Daniel posted awhile back on a bill, proposed by a Democrat (hey, I found some common ground!), that would allow grocery stores to provide 6 ounce samples of beer to their customers. Why this wasn’t allowed before, I don’t know but, it’s great that it was just passed by the Wisconsin State Senate unanimously. Now let’s hope it moves expediently through the rest of the legislative process.
My first sample suggestion to grocery stores looking to exercise their new rights in the near future would be to offer samples of the recently introduced seasonal brew from Leinenkugel’s, Summer Shandy. It’s not sweet and overwhelming like Mike’s Hard Lemonade but has the flavor of a good summer lager with a unique, dry lemon bite.

That sounds like a great idea.
They need that down here in Illinois
No particular firsthand experience tells me that at airports in London, they offer unlimited 1/2 shot samples of Bailey’s.
Not quite as cool as beer samples though.
This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I can only imagine how many homeless drunks are going to be loitering in the isles of the local grocery store waiting for samples of beer. And the liability of accidentally giving alcohol to a minor…..good grief. Stupid stupid stupid.
