An Uphill Battle for Ziegler

Granted, the law is not on her side when it comes to the State Judicial Commission (an entirely different question than the State Ethics Board). But it does not appear the jury starts on her side either:
The Wisconsin State Journal reports which members of the Judicial Commission were available to order the review - of the seven members, six are liberal/Democratic donors or officials: According to the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign database (ironically, WDC is the folks who filed the complaint against Judge Ziegler), Ginger Alden has given thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates. James Haney is a Democratic donor and former aide to then-Attorney General Jim Doyle. Judge Hansher has twice donated to Ed Brunner (once for Judge Peterson) the 2003 liberal candidate for State Supreme Court against Pat Roggensack. Jennifer Morales is a Democratic donor, member of the MPS Board, and former Democratic candidate for state senate. Finally, William Vander Loop, a former Democratic state representative from Kaukauna.
I’m not saying that the Judicial Commission will be anything less than fair to Judge Ziegler. I’m just saying that in the current environment where we talk so much about political motives in prosecutions, you might find this of interest.

Oh, please. I’ll say it then: they will be less than fair.
The sick behavior of these Democrats would make banana republic dictators blush.

You seem to forget that most of the Commission are not liberal, they are MODERATES.
But, you can’t go there. Ackonledging such a group even exists, only marginalizes the real conservatives further.
You picked a candidate without vetting her. You have your very own FEMA-style Heck of a job Annette to deal with.
There is a big problem, the Judicial Commission rarely takes a charge lighty, and have ruled against most alleged offenders.
And then the Supreme’s themselves are not favorbable to anything unethical, questionable, or even hints of nepotism.
Ziegler’s downfall will be her own inability to defend herself.
So what if she gets fired, kicked off, refused to take office. Doyle will simply appoint someone, and next spring we will elect two Justices.
It’s not a problem for the voters, it sure is for the GOP though.

Goof: Two Supreme Court Justices cannot stand for election at the same time.
This is all about nothing. Zeigler broke ethics rules. She will be fined. We will all move on.
