Fred Thompson, 1998 FL Statesman of the Year and Future President?

Well watching some other political YouTube videos, I found this introductory video on Fred Thompson when he was presented the Florida GOP’s Statesman of the Year award. It’s a great piece with clips from his movies, campaign commercials and the Watergate hearings. My favorite part is right near the end however, they definitely did have any idea then but, it sure seems to foreshadow a Presidential role or at the very least, a continuation in politics.

Thats wonderful… but he has the Senator’s curse if he becomes the nominee. No US Senator or US Congressman has won the Presidency with the exception of JFK. Of course this might be offset if running against Hillary? Obama is no longer a factor after these last two weeks of strategic errors.
