I have a confession to make, I’ll admit it, I was one of the few watching live C-SPAN on Friday night at 11:00 PM. Believe me, it’s not a common occurrence but, Fred Thompson was speaking to the Lincoln Club of Orange County.
He did a great job of laying out the issues our great nation faces while tempering his challenges with the many things our country can be proud of. He was honest and sincere but, most of all, he was not rushed and pressured like the pile of politicians at the GOP debate Thursday night. He spoke fluently of true bipartisanship, the desire we all have to better our country, not wishy washy compromise or gridlocked inaction. I am excited to see his continued messages played out through his coming presidential campaign, even on a Friday night till midnight.
Here is a quick clip I found over at PeteRepublic.org of some of the highlights, it doesn’t completely do the speech justice but, it is some of the good portions. Here is the full text of his speech.

If he believed what he said, he would announce. The interview with Hannity wasn’t on this same level, whats different? Keep posting the videos… but I’m skeptical– seems like a lot of hype right now.
I found this reaction piece by Novak today… Republicans at that event were very disappointed. Not good for 2008…
