The bloggers here at Gop3.com have always been openly critical of the Marquette University Student Government (MUSG), that is the duty of the governed, to keep those who govern honest. Here at Gop3.com we have commented on this in regards to the Gold debacle, as did the now defunct 1832, and MUSG insider Vinnie Bergl over at the Marquette Warrior blog. Marquette’s very own independent news source, The Warrior, did a piece called Playing Banker on how MUSG spends 48 cents on the dollar of the money they take from students in activities fees on themselves.
But of that $399,996.43, only 22.4 percent went back to the student body in the form of student organization disbursements. And for every dollar disbursed to a student organization, 48 cents was spent in MUSG administrative expenses.
Now we have a new inside source for information, out of the MUSG spin filter comes The MUSG Disconnect, a inside look at MUSG from the eyes of Joseph Schuster, a concerned libertarian student working to understand and change the organization. We here at Gop3.com will be watching with interest.

Joe Schuster is not a Senator.
Thanks for correcting my misunderstanding. It has been corrected in the post.
Yay Jose!
so how really does MUSG keep the students informed when no one but 10 people are regulars at their meetings, and emails go out, and there’s always signs and chalkwork to look at? maybe going to a meeting would help students learn what the MUSG is actually doing. no idea how an organization who gets elections based on less than 30% turnout on a regular basis is at fault there when it’s clear that pretty much no one cares.
