Local talk show host Charlie Sykes had a red letter day today. The Wall Street Journal published an op-ed by Charlie on foibles in education. It’s worth reading (you’ll need the paper paper), but since my nose is pretty clean on the pranks front, I’ll turn to his piece for the American Thinker.
In it, Charlie discusses the important role prayer and faith play in the life of Justice Clarence Thomas, as reflected in his recent autobiography.
It is a topic easily skipped over by the mainstream media (when a Thomas biographer came to MULS earlier this semester, I asked him about it during the Q&A). But, as Charlie shows, it is central to his approach to the world and how he handles the pressures of his office.

It’s clear to all that Charlie himself has been inspired by the same source as Thomas, using the lessons of the New Testament (like the Golden Rule) to shape what he does on the radio every week day. A true inspiration to us all!
