I don’t know exactly what maintenance there is in the winter that requires a full staff, but I do feel as if there is stuff to do – I do know for a fact that they trim trees in the winter.

Perhaps part-time in the winter makes more sense.

Oh, and in those winter months, I’m sure the sprinklers need to be maintained, the trees (which should never be trimmed in winter) need trimming, and I suppose the X-country skiers would like the snow groomed for them. Seriously, what maintenance is there to do that requires a full staff?

3. Correct me if I’m wrong (and I mean that genuinely) but don’t park employees work year long? I mean, isn’t there park maintenance and upkeep that needs to be done during the off season?

4. And, in response to Walker’s claim that people only use the parks in the summer and spring, don’t people use the parks during the winter months for stuff like hiking and cross-country skiing and sledding?
