In the latest round of debates, Senator Lena Taylor has come out and said what we all expected she would do. So it’s no newsflash to anyone when I say that Lena Taylor Likes Taxes…a lot. (Tip of the Hat to Daniel and Brian for figuring this out). She has come out say that she’d be willing to keep the Stadium Tax beyond 2014. Scott Walker on the other hand is on the record in these videos saying that does not believe in new taxes or raising taxes. And here are the two separate videos of her stating her love of taxes. What could better than helping Wisconsin climb the ranks of the highest taxed state in the Union?

The good news in all of this is that the Scott Walker ads came out tonight on the 10 p.m. newscast and they are pretty great.

–Completely Unrelated Side note—

I found out that MY Republican State Assemblywoman Sue Jeskewitz (Menomonee Falls, Richfield and Germantown) was a cosponsor on Lean Taylor’s Nintendo Tax, which was also the bill that raised the minimum age for violent crime offenders from 17 to 18. I am a little upset because I know that 0% of that is very conservative. And I know that I’ll be able relate to the youth voters more because I really enjoy video gaming and it is ridiculous to consider unnecessarily taxing them (or anything for that matter). And then that whole violent crime offenders thing too…

  1. [...] web video talking about taxes. This discussion is particularly important when juxtaposed against Senator Taylor’s recent comments supporting an increase in the sales tax. Last 5 posts by [...]
