Everyone is talking about the President’s speech to the Israeli Knesset, particularly the “appeasement” line. It’s a hot topic because it’s being taken as a shot from Bush at Barack Obama, who has said he is willing to meet with the leaders of various terrorist states.
At her press conference yesterday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the President’s “shot” at Obama was “beneath the dignity of the President.”
But I wonder – was the shot really at Barack, or was it more about Jimmy Carter meeting with Hamas. Because that is certainly beneath the dignity of the Presidency.
