Recently, Frank Shansky, the Labor relations director of the American Federation of Teachers Local 212 Labor Director, has been emailing out lies on Sheldon Wasserman’s behalf about Alberta’s MATC record. The email that was sent out has been saying that the Local 212 strongly endorses Sheldon Wasserman (but gives no logical reason) while claiming Alberta has voted consistently against continued funding for MATC which will raise property taxes and that Alberta will never support MATC with the Local 212 in place. The 212 will be out this Saturday scouring the area for other Union members so they can continue to spread their lies, so keep your eyes peeled, and let them know that it’s not Wasserman who’s fighting for the,.

Alberta is anything but anti-MATC, but the union smear machine will say whatever they think it takes to their members on Wasserman’s behalf. In reality, Alberta has done a lot of work for and helped MATC quite a bit. She has teamed with MATC representatives and local officials on a program to provide certification for over a dozen workers, providing high-demand labor for the local economy and critical job training for employees. She has worked with MATC leaders to secure a Wired Innovation Grant for an industrial park skills and certification center and, is pursuing additional strategies to promote the career opportunities available through a technical college education, retrain workers into high-demand, high-wage occupations, and connect workers with employers to meet the needs of our state and local economy.

Couple these things with her Invest Wisconsin 2.0 Plan to create a better business climate with more high quality jobs, her Educational Tax Credit plan which would provide a 50% tax credit of tuition costs paid by businesses for an employee to attend a Wisconsin college, university or technical school, and her stay in Wisconsin plan which would make student loan interest 100% tax deductable, MATC and similar schools, should be praising her with 100% of their support. She is one of the best when it comes to trying to keep Wisconsin students in state by working to get them this kind of help, by both helping defer the cost of tuition and helping those students get high quality, high paying jobs.

This is how Wasserman and his operatives work to get votes: lie, lie, lie. Another lie: SSDC spread rumor about Alberta’s health. Another lie: Wasserman says he kept his tax pledge, but he did NOT.

What ridiculousness can we expect next out of the Wasserman campaign?
