Reading the Wall Street Journal this morning, I couldn’t help remember a quote from Morton Blackwell that’s usually used in a political context: “You can’t make friends of your enemies by making enemies of your friends.”
(1) Throw Israel under the bus to score points with Iran in the UN Security Council
(2) Throw the Tibetans under the bus to score points with the Communist Chinese
(3) Throw Poland and the Czech Republic under the bus to score points with the czar of Russia.

1. Not US policy. Never has been, and certainly not in the Obama administration.
2. Consistent with US policy over the last 30+ years.
3. I assume you are referring to the “missile shield”, and I thought it was supposed to protect us from rogue state missiles and not Russia.
