Brian is currently a graduate student in Marquette University’s Master of Science in Applied Economics program. He graduated in May of 2007 from the undergraduate program at Marquette with degrees in Economics, Political Science, and International Relations. He will finish graduate classes by the end of June, 2008 and formally graduate with a master’s in August.

Brian has applied his passion for free market economics and general common sense in a variety of collegiate and non-collegiate functions. At Marquette, he has served as News Editor of The Warrior, an independent, student-run campus newspaper, an elected senator with student government, and as an active member of College Republicans and Students for Life.

Brian spent a a semester, the Spring of 2005, in Washington, DC interning with The Heritage Foundation as the last Heritage intern for Town Hall, a media and advocacy organization. He worked as a research assistant in summer of 2006 for a Madison-based, non-partisan public policy research organization. He also interned during the previous gubernatorial and prior to that presidential election races.

Brian is an avid reader of political and economic literature in the classical liberal mold from Smith/Burke to Friedman/Buckley. His favorite work is Witness, by Whittaker Chambers. He encourages potential readers to see past its somewhat extended length as an impediment to reading. He also enjoys running and biking when Wisconsin’s weather permits. After college, he hopes to pick up more hobbies.
