If you haven’t voted yet, get out and do it now! If you don’t know where to vote, find out here.
First, who did you vote for in the two major races today?
Here is a quick run down of the two major choices I made today in the Wisconsin/Milwaukee April 1st elections and why (if you are a regular Gop3.com reader, you know these already. I have included predictions based on personal opinion in the spirit of March Madness):
Scott Walker vs Lena Taylor
My Choice: Scott Walker
Why: He is man dedicated to fiscal responsibility, small government, economic development and safety in Milwaukee.
Prediction: Walker 57% Lena 43%
Justice Louis Butler vs Judge Mike Gableman
My Choice: Judge Mike Gableman
Why: Plain and simple, Judge Gableman has a solid record of judgement based on on what the law says, not what he wants it to say. Justive Butler sides with criminals, hands out lenient penalties and awards far too much in the form of monetary damages that further encourage frivolous lawsuits. If you care for more details, read Daniel’s latest post or the many others he has made on the subject.
Prediction: Gableman 51% Butler 49%
In a final note, I will be live blogging tonight from the Walker victory party so, check back for the latest.
PS:
If you’re in Milwaukee’s 15th District, be sure to vote Dan Wycklendt for County Supervisor, Gop3.com blogger Katie’s brother!

Lena Taylor Supporter Heckles Scott Walker, Mars St.Patrick’s Day Parade
Written by Brandon Henak on March 8, 2008 – 5:58 pm -
Today, I joined thousands of Milwaukee residents out in the bright, cold Wisconsin weather to celebrate St.Patrick’s day a little early at the Milwaukee St.Patrick’s day parade. The floats were great, the people were cheerily eating festive food and drinking Guiness along the parade route. Everyone cheered loudly for New York’s finest, a number of police officers flew out for the parade, and it was generally an all around good time.
Unfortunately, as the local politicians went by, things changed a bit. Everyone was respectful and cheering for all the candidates as they walked by, except for one gentleman. This person followed County Executive Scott Walker throughout the parade screaming above the happy cheers and clapping coming from everyone lining the route. The man kept pace with Walker hollering that he had “destroyed Milwaukee public transit” and “canceled tons of major bus routes”. Most people looked at him with disgust for trying to spread lies and ruining the atmosphere but, it makes you wonder, just how far will Lena Taylor supporters and those who oppose Scott Walker go? The man has every right to scream falsities all day long but, I think it reflects negatively on Lena Taylor and Democrats in general that their supporters engage in this type of abrasive behavior.
It reminds me of the Democrat union thugs that punched, tackled and destroyed the property of my fellow College Republicans at a rally outside a John Kerry event in 2004. There are problems on both sides but, I have always seen higher levels of disrespectful, abrasive behavior coming from the left… no wonder liberal has become such a dirty word in many circles, it has become associated with this type of behavior.
